About this blog

There are a few reasons this blog is in existence.

First, it’s July, and I’m not doing anything. I am reduced to starting a blog to guarantee myself something to do for about a half hour each day

Second, I am a high school Literature and Writing teacher. I require my students to keep Writing Notebooks. This blog is like the second draft in a writers notebook. It’s very raw, but has some structure and development to it. This blog puts me in my students’ position, and I plan on using some posts to teach some lessons this coming year.

Thirdly, as previously stated, I am a Writing teacher. I suppose writing teachers are supposed to write, so this is me just flexing my muscle. Now that I’ve outed myself as a teacher and writer I should have more pride in my pesentation, work on my conventions, structure, craft, but like I said before, this is a step up from a first draft, I’m not looking for perfection, just an outlet.

Fourthly, this is an experiment to test my writing stamina. See how much I can spew and how often…so far so good.

Fifthly and lastly, I always thought blogs were cool…so I finally got meself one.

On that note, this blog is about whatever random topic that strikes my fancy at whatever given moment. I feel no need to make witty remarks, keen observations, or intelligent pontifications. The title says it all “Sporadic Intelligence”, which means on the occasion that I do say something smart, don’t be so shocked. You see it gives me the option to be as shallow as necessary, and smart as I sometimes may be. I get to have my cake and eat it too.

And if you have something to say, add, comment, retort – I’m all ears :)

  2. Hello,

    How’d you doing?

I’m compiling a free e-book about the Greatest Articles and I’m featuring excellent comments. Your thoughts in “Men and Women Shopping Dissimilarity” is among the standouts! I’m asking permission if I could include your words in the book? You surely will be attributed.

Also, I’m excited to inform you that Moment Matters is re-launching in days!

    All the best,
    Justin G. Bautista
